Confidence & Embracing Your Weird Matter...In Life and Business
In fact, it's a non-negotiable.
Confidence, and the courage to embrace your weird, is what cuts through the noise.
In business, it’s what makes people stop scrolling, pay attention, and choose you.
In friendships and connections, it’s what creates real bonds instead of surface-level small talk.
In life, it’s what brings you into alignment with who you actually are, not some watered-down version you think you “should” be.
This isn’t about being loud or forced. It’s about being unapologetically you - the quirks, the edges, the spark. Because when you show up that way, you attract the right people, the right opportunities, and the right energy.
And that’s exactly what this event is about: giving you the tools, the fire, and the confidence to step fully into your weird - and finally own it.
The great news is that confidence can be learnt.
Hello, you wonderful human, my name is Holly Matthews I want to invite you along to my day of confidence building where I am going to take you 'from wanting to flee to confident me', 'from shame and doubt to working it out' and you’ll leave Be Weird Live excited about gliding into your era of confidence (and all the success and joy that comes with having this).
But first let me share my own story (so you know I get it, I see you and I know that this can be hard.)
After the death of my husband Ross to brain cancer, the man who matched me and understood me... I felt a confidence 'dip', the confidence 'dip' that hits us all sometimes.
Being a parent ‘dips’ me all the time, that job is the hardest job ever!
‘Dips’ come and go, they're human, but because now I have the tools to help me through them, I believe in me enough to get through the challenges I face.
I've learnt that being your weirdest (most authentic) self is simply the only way to have long lasting happiness and how you will create the life that you really want.
‘You’re weird!' might have once been an insult but now we own it and we embrace all that we are.
As an award winning and best-selling author, Ted X speaker, founder of The Happy Me Project, and confidence expert, who the BBC calls their ‘motivator in chief', my 'weird' has opened doors and become my winning edge.
If you’ve ever felt:
‘Too much’ or ‘not enough’
Hidden, shrunken, or held back because of what ‘they’ might think
Like you’ve done the journaling, the vision boarding, and you STILL feel stuck
‘Some people light up a room the second they walk in. Holly Matthews is one of them.
Her passion, positive energy, & authenticity has such an uplifting impact.
She is the epitome of that saying: ‘It’s not what you say, it’s how you make people feel.’
You’ll arrive to goodie bags and smiles in a safe and supportive environment that doesn’t want you to be anything but you.
You’ll be able to roam the space and try out the mini activities in the room, check out the ‘be weird’ hand-picked businesses such as Woman Who, Mood Bears and Love thy Body Project.
You’ll enjoy our Pop-Up Fragrance bar with Hayley Ann Forester and learn about how the power of fragrance can increase your confidence too.
You’ll have a movement session to get us in our bodies with the wonderful Cat Merrick (a staple at any event!) and help us let go of some of the anxiety we might be bringing into the room.
Then I’ll guide you through some fun and yet transformative exercises helping you let go of the labels or beliefs that are keeping you stuck, the shame that’s shutting you down and the old stories that need to get in the bin.
Halfway through our day you’ll also be treated to Laughing yoga with Radio One, Ferne Cotton's Happy Place Festival and Carfest’s Cat Googe. If you’ve not done this before you will love it, it’s a totally silly and powerful antidote to being a serious adult (I mean who wants to be that!)
We'll look at the masks you might be wearing and who you really are underneath.
I’ll be getting you to create the version of you that you want to be (even if that feels far away right now).
...and we will finish with a celebration of you.

Forced to participate in anything. Everyone is at different stages. Some of you will be very early days on your confidence building journey and just being there is a HUGE win, but for others there will be another challenge. You’ll be encouraged but never forced.
A serious corporate tone of judgment and ‘I’m better than you’ side salad. You’re more likely to hear a few swear words, vulnerable shares and the theme of the day is ‘wear what you dare’.
Boring, bland or beige. I’m a fan of the tacky, the bright, the colourful and the shiny.
Sam came to me at a time she was at a crossroads in her life. She had just gone through a breakup and she was low in self-esteem.
We worked on her noticing her limiting beliefs and the unkind words she had started to say to herself in her head.
As Sam began changing this I got to watch the ripple effect across her whole life. She began socialising again, dyed her hair a colour she had always wanted to (but never felt brave enough) and she went back to studying towards her dream job!
Amy, a single Mum who was juggling motherhood and an amazingly successful business, but was exhausted because she always put everyone else first.
In her business she had zero boundaries with clients, fearful she would lose business. In her friendships she put everyone else first.
We worked on boundary setting and Amy is now calmer, more in control and even more respected.
Kate spent her life doubting everything she did.
She never shared her opinions, always worried about what people thought about her and this had made her fearful about doing anything.
We looked at how she could start embracing all the parts of her she had been taught to hate and hide.
Kate now shares her opinions, tries all kinds of new classes and told me recently that she has fallen in love. They connected on their mutual dislike of Love Island and their mutual love art (they met at an art class).
